SCHOLARSHIPS

Because of CHPRMS' dedication to the advancement of healthcare marketing and public relations and to assist noteworthy individuals pursuing a career in this field, our organization established a scholarship fund - the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society Scholarship.

The scholarship fund offers two $1000 annual scholarships to a deserving junior or senior undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of South Carolina. The scholarships are granted to the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at each school. The students must demonstrate academic merit and leadership and each school is responsible for determining the final selection criteria, soliciting applications and selecting the scholarship recipients.

Recipients are selected in the spring and the scholarships are distributed for use in the fall semester. The selected scholars are invited to attend the annual CHPRMS Wallie Awards dinner held during the fall conference.

Students who are interested in applying for the scholarships should contact their respective schools. CHPRMS does not accept applications or select the winners.
