Ashley Krieger is a senior at the University of South Carolina majoring in public relations with a minor in
business administration. She is originally from Beaufort, SC and will graduate May, 2007. Ashley is currently
doing an internship with the College of Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management at USC. She recently completed
an internship at CNSG Hilton Head.
Ashley is hoping to work for an agency when she graduates doing special events coordination or account executive work.

Scott Sutton grew up as the son of a missionary physician in Chad, Africa. His
village had no running water and no electricity; his father performed surgery by
the light of a flashlight. In Chapel Hill Scott is working toward a major in
public relations and a minor in French. He has been involved in several campus
groups, including The Daily Tar Heel, the student newspaper. He expects
to graduate next year and hopes someday to help develop the infrastructure in
Third World countries, possibly after attending law school, seminary or graduate school.

Kinsey Cooper is a senior public relations major at the University of
South Carolina. She is from Easley, SC and will graduate in May 2005. Kinsey has been
active in several campus organizations, including PRSSA, Dance Marathon, and Sorority Council.
She also completed three public relations internships during her summers in Columbia.
Kinsey plans to attend graduate school and after graduation would like to become
the director of public relations for a nonprofit organization.

Emily Sellers, a rising senior from Orlando, Fla., was the winner for 2003. Ms.
Sellers secured an internship with an Orlando development company that summer and hoped the internship would
help her narrow her career choices.

Jeff Poulin lives in Charleston and majored in public relations with
a minor in political science. After graduation he planed to attend graduate
school at either George Washington University, Georgetown, or the
University of Massachusetts in Boston (he was born in North Attelboro, Mass.) and
work toward a master's degree in public policy.
Jeff hopes to become a lobbyist for a nonprofit organization.

Robyn Langlois, a senior from Raleigh, won the scholarship the second year.
Ms. Langlois paid for much of her college education, and planned to find work doing development and
event planning for a children's hospital or a nonprofit organization.
She also is considering a career in community relations at a for-profit corporation.
She is president of the student chapter of PRSA at UNC.

The first winner from the University of North Carolina was Cameron Mitchell, a senior from Burnsville, NC.
Cameron was a columnist for The Daily Tar Heel, the student newspaper at UNC, and served
on its editorial board. After graduation, he hopes to work in public relations for a nonprofit organization.

The first winner from the University of South Carolina was Jane Hawthorne, a senior who majored in
public relations. Jane is from Greenwood, SC.
