Since its founding in 1973, CHPRMS has named only five people as honorary life members.

Honorary life membership is bestowed on those who earn distinction and noteworthy acclaim as leaders in healthcare public relations and marketing. Honorary membership is granted by a three-fourths vote of the membership, after recommendation by the CHRPMS board of directors.

Our honorary life members include:

Kaye Lasater - formerly with the North Carolina Hospital Association in Raleigh, NC.

Ellen B. Mac Millan - formerly with the South Carolina Hospital Association in West Columbia, SC and the North Carolina Hospital Association in Raleigh, NC

Marthanna Banks Phillips - formerly with the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg and Calhoun counties in Orangeburg, SC.

Robert J. Sailstad (deceased) - formerly with the Duke Endowment in Charlotte, NC
